lyrics
A body in motion will come to rest
Not unlike the beating in our chest
If you and I could find our way we might hold on for one more day
Or just let go
The thread is bare and begun to fray
From all the knots and twists we've made
Now the light's gone dim and gray and cold
I think it's time for me to go
Beneath the ocean floor
A fault line slips breaks
A compression wave starts to race
No warning no escape and
You were caught in the wake
What remains and what gets swept away
It's a glorious swirl of Fleet Foxes, and Smile era Beach Boys.
It gently consumes you like a river's current as you float atop—getting that unexpected sunburn in September barnudiolikesyourband

Leaning into the sparse, impressionistic sound of 2023's albu "Nature Morte," the Montreal metallurgists sound as heavy and radiant as ever. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 21, 2024
This would have been right at home coming out on Touch & Go in 1994. A great sound I don't hear much anymore: great rhythm section, some angular guitar signatures, nice harmonies. I dig it. PS - three tracks at precisely 3:57 in length. That has to have been purposeful. cavestrummer
