lyrics
Hold me close until the end
Bar the door don't let them in
Concede align conceit design
The smoke is choking out the din
You realize not in time
What you had in mind has passed you by
Feed the rifle to the flames
Let it never be used again
An easy sigh a cold reply
A face that's blistered by the wind
Hopes and fears collide
Only to come calling crawling back
To claim everything in sight
Yeah you're doing alright
What you had in mind has passed you by
So you obfuscated the concrete crumbling around the base
The foundation yielding to decay
But you're doing great or so you claim
Yeah how's that working out today behind your pallisade
You realize not in time you're trapped inside
With everything you tried to keep away
The UK upstarts' debut veers from sunny, psychedelic folk to bristling post-punk with reckless abandon without ever missing a beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2024
Winter McQuinn mixes soft rock and psychedelic folk for a sound reminiscent of classic pop purveyors like Cut Worms and the Lemon Twigs. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
This would have been right at home coming out on Touch & Go in 1994. A great sound I don't hear much anymore: great rhythm section, some angular guitar signatures, nice harmonies. I dig it. PS - three tracks at precisely 3:57 in length. That has to have been purposeful. cavestrummer
